Cruise through a landscape used by hippos and crocodiles, watch for animals approaching the water’s edge, and enjoy prolific birdlife as the light softens toward sunset. Overnight: Africa Safari Selous, Nyerere/Selous DAY 2 Full Day Game Drive at Selous Game Reserve Spend a full day exploring the Selous/Nyerere wilderness in a specially equipped safari vehicle. The reserve combines wetlands, grassland, acacia woodland and open country, supporting elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, lions and the rare African wild dog, together with an exceptionally diverse bird population. Overnight: Africa Safari Selous, Nyerere/Selous DAY 3 Walking Safari – Nyerere/Selous Airstrip – Included Bush Flight to Zanzibar Begin with an early guided walking safari, focusing on animal tracks, smaller wildlife, plants and traditional uses of local vegetation. After returning for breakfast, transfer to the confirmed Nyerere/Selous safari airstrip for the included one-way scheduled bush flight to Zanzibar . Flight time and routing depend on the operating airline. On arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, our island team will meet you and transfer you to Tembo House Hotel in Stone Town. Overnight: Tembo House Hotel, Stone Town DAY 4 Stone Town Walking Tour — Zanzibar History, Culture & Shopping After breakfast, enjoy a short guided walking tour through the historic heart of Stone Town, lasting approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Walk through atmospheric lanes and heritage areas while your guide explains Zanzibar’s Swahili culture, Indian Ocean trading history, architecture, carved doors and the history of the East African slave trade. Key exterior viewpoints may include the Old Fort, the House of Wonders area, Forodhani Gardens, local market streets and the former Slave Market/Anglican Cathedral area. There is also time to browse local shops for crafts, souvenirs and spices. No paid entrance fees are included; if you choose to enter any ticketed site, including the Slave Market site, admission is paid directly by you. After the walk, transfer to Smiles Beach Hotel in Nungwi for check-in, beach time and relaxation.
